Vintage 1966 Made in Japan - The Flagship Solid Body guitar offered by Guyatone. Features 4 Pickups of which the middle two are half coils, essentially a P-Bass style pickup. Originally the wiring included an in-series resistor on the neck pickup to restrain its volume, a fixed capacitor for bass roll off on the bridge, and a fixed treble cut capacitor across the middle pickups. This guitar has had it all removed to free up the full output of the pickups and it sounds awesome! Stereo Out switch sends one of the middle half coil pickups to one output and the other half coil pickup out of the other side! A second switch and output on the back of the guitar is a simple on-off switch to act in lieu of a footswitch, allowing you to turn amp effects on/off from your guitar! Aside from the removal of the tone restrictors in the wiring, this guitar is ALL ORIGINAL! w/Original Hard Shell Case.

Vintage 1969 Made in the USA - Hand Built by Bartell of California under Paul Barth(Ex Magnatone and Rickenbacker). Very rare and very cool model. Bartell was an established company making some very nice instruments when the Acoustic Control Corporation contracted them to make a series of guitars/basses under their name, and called them the Black Widow. At some point, Hohner, who had previously contracted Bartell, followed up an unfilled backorder with Bartell for a few basses/guitars that he had yet to deliver. As a result, Bartell simply badged a few of these Black Widows as Hohner in order to meet the request (look at how askew the logo is! Slap dash finishing touch to an otherwise amazing instrument). Production of the Black Widow was later moved to Japan for a few years between 1970 and 1973, before again returning to California but this time under a contract with Semi Mosley of Mosrite. This one has Schaller Machine Heads but is otherwise all original. Comes with an ESP gig bag.
