Made France in 1959, this beautifully made 82k series Mark VI Alto Saxophone is a rare site indeed. Selmer debuted the Mark VI in 1954 until the introduction of the Mark VII model in 1975. Lower serial numbered Mark VI models tend to be more desirable due to a perceived higher quality build.
We believe this example to be made for the The British/Canadian market as it has the symmetrical medallion engraved on the front of the bell, and a design reminiscent of the chambered nautilus along the sides of the bell.
Comes with non original Yamaha hard case.
